The Award focuses on poetry for its well-established position in Arab and Islamic culture as a means of creative expression. The poetry of prophetic praises constitutes a wide space in Arabic literature in particular, and Islamic literature in general, and the award receives entries in Standard Formal Arabic only.
Rules :
- The poem must adhere to the correct Arabic form and grammar.
- The poem should be written in the style and form of either vertical or free verse (tafilah) poetry.
- Each participant can participate with one poem only.
- If the poem is vertical, it should be between 15 – 30 verses.
- If the poem is free verse (tafilah), it should be between 20-35 sections.
- The poem topic is about the birth of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) or any part of his noble biography.
