Calligraphy

These are the terms and conditions of the Al Bader International Calligraphy Award, according to which the jury will evaluate the artworks:

1.Anyone who can submit a work in the art of Arabic calligraphy can participate personally in this award, with the need to adhere to the rules followed in this art and this award.

2.The contestant may participate with one artwork. If a contestant participated with more than one artwork, his entry will be considered void.

3.The jury has the right to withhold some awards or prizes if it deems that the participating artworks do not live up to the required level and are not consistent with the award’s approach.

4.The winning artworks become the property of the Al Bader Award administration and it has the right to display these artworks in exhibitions and owns all the copyrights related to it.

5.The jury's results are final and not subject to discussion or change.

6.Contestants of this award acknowledge that they have accepted the above conditions.

Rules:

1.Write the Quran text with Thuluth Jali and Thuluth Regular styles as demonstrated in the figure.

2.Contestants are free to choose the size of the writing pen, whether with the Thuluth Jali or the Thuluth Regular style, in accordance with what is customary in these styles.

3.The text must be written on ‘’Waraq Muqqahar’’  (traditionally polished paper) size 50x70.

4.Contestants are free to choose the color of the ink and can use one or more colors.

5.The artwork must be signed.

6.Registration number must be written at the back of the artwork.

7.Writing the Basmalah is optional.

8.The paper can be used in portrait or landscape form.

9.It is permissible to write in script or spelling (optional).
